Reiki is a holistic healing practice that is based on the concept of channeling universal life energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

A typical Reiki session may involve the following steps:

  1. Setting the Environment: We’ll create a peaceful and comfortable setting for the session. This might include dimmed lighting, calming music, and a comfortable treatment table or chair.
  2. Consultation: Before the session begins, we’ll talk about your specific needs and concerns. This helps tailor the Reiki treatment to you and what’s going on in your life at the moment.
  3. Relaxation: You’ll typically lie down, although Reiki can also be administered while seated. We can engage in deep breathing exercises to induce a state of relaxation.
  4. Hand Placement: I’ll place my hands to gently touch or hover over specific areas of the your body, known as energy centres or chakras. There are various hand positions that cover the head, torso, limbs, and back. I’ll follow a systematic approach, allowing energy to flow through me to you.
  5. Energy Flow: I’ll channel Reiki energy, often described as a warm or tingling sensation, through my hands into your energy field. This energy can balance and clear any energy blockages in your body, promoting a sense of well-being and relaxation.
  6. Healing Intention: Throughout the session, I’ll maintain a focused intention on promoting healing, relieving stress and facilitating a sense of balance and harmony within you.
  7. Sensations: You may experience a variety of sensations during a Reiki session, such as warmth, coolness, or a sense of energy movement. These sensations are subjective and can vary from person to person.
  8. Session Conclusion: As our time comes to an end, I’ll conclude the session by gently touching or signalling the end of the treatment.
  9. Feedback and Discussion: After the session, we may discuss the experience, and you can share your experience with me.

Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment, but it is often used as a complementary therapy to support overall well-being. The experience of a Reiki session can be deeply relaxing and can help promote the body’s natural healing abilities, reduce stress, and enhance emotional and spiritual balance.

Each session is unique to you and your specific needs.

Should you wish to book a session, consider a less active routine after your therapy; this is to deepen the experience to healing as this will continue to occur after your session.

Most people experience a feeling of stillness, slowing down and a sense of emotional, mental, or physical release. Others experience an expansive feeling of surrender and may feel physically tired and sleepy. These are just regular occurrences, as the body adapts to the energy received.
